I had an email last night from Elizabeth Logan, youngest daughter of Alan Wallis (1941804 SAC, when he left the RAF in the late 60s), or Wal as he will have been known as by service colleagues, informing me of Wal’s death from cardiac arrest last week.
Wal was a great character, well-liked and a great friend to me personally; I am greatly saddened at the news but my thoughts are mainly with his family in Australia where he lived for a great part of his life.
