It is with sadness that I have to tell you of the passing today (08 May 2024) of Norman Thompson age 85. Norman lived in Exeter but had been in a nursing home for over a year suffering from Parkinson’s.
Norman joined the RAF in January 1959 and served until December 1963. He did his basic training at Bridgenorth and his photo training on course 386 BP at Wellesbourne Mountford. He then served in Malaya and on 81 Sqdn at RAF Tengah followed with a final tour at RAF Chivenor.
Norman was a life member of the RAFA and a member of RAFPA since 2010 during which time he and his wife Linda attended many reunions.
