I’m sad to post that Ron Brown passed away in Holland yesterday morning (31 January 2026) at the age of 86, where he lived with his wife Angelique. Ron spent many years at Coltishall as Corporal Ground Photographer flying in the Lightnings taking official photographs of both Lightnings and the Spitfire and Hurricanes from the then Battle of Britain Flight some of which are on display in the Heritage Centre.
I served with Ron, on his final tour, at RAF Laarbruch Photo Section in 79/80. He was well known for his facial hair!
