  1. John was my corporal on II(AC) Jags Laarbruch. Also went for a few pints with him in Padstow during my posting to St Mawgan. Best corporal I ever had, wonderful mentor and friend. My condolences to his family.

  2. John & I worked on the Nimrod line 72/73 Great Lad. We used to battle the Linnies to get on board first when the WEST/EAST abouts landed. To snaffle the onboard rations that were left. He always wanted the BRANSTON PICKLE….RIP SIR.

  3. Knew John at St Mawgan on and off for quite a few years. What a great guy he was, always a smile and so well respected. He loved living in Padstow too, often visiting the club at the top of the hill overlooking the town. Sadly Sue, John’s ex-wife, preceded him and I remember how sad he was about this. Rest in peace old mate.
