John William Wooff Warrant Officer of Brampton (RAF retired), passed away peacefully in
Addenbrookés Hospital on 14th October 2023, aged 86 years.

Yes I remember Johnny Woof.
An absolutely lovely guy, I had loads of respect for him.
I remember him being posted in, as a WO, to Scampton early 70s, during the Cod War – he and a Flt Sgt who was posted in at the same time, were the first PIs at Scampton.

I remember Johnny Woof as a Warrant Officer PI when I worked in the RIC in Gutersloh(’77-’79). A sad loss. R.I.P. Sir.
