Ken Britland

This morning 06 September 2024 brought with it the extremely sad news that Ken Britland passed away yesterday.

Ken had undergone major surgery last month and, at first seemed to be on the mend, but there were complications from which he never really recovered.

Ken joined up as an Apprentice in 319 Entry in Oct 1970 and then became an ACF until that trade was disbanded when he followed the L Tech AR path as so many ACFs did.

Rest in Peace Scouse…

I’m truly sad to hear this. A lovely guy

Very sad news. Ken told me of his illness a while ago and requested I did not tell anyone else, which of course I fully respected.

Sad to hear this news today. Had spoken with Ken earlier this year over what he was going through. As we both said then “Only the good die young” We both thought we had been bad enough to live to 150!!!!
RIP Ken

Kris Mercer

That is very sad news, condolences to family and friends.

What a shock, I have great memories of working with Scouse. We were apprentices at the same time at Cosford, then worked together on Lightnings at Binbrook along many others including Keith Bendall. So sad that yet another friend has passed. RIP Buddy. Sincere condolences to all Ken’s family. 💙
