David Robert Hooper, Flt Sgt
Died October 2013.
A veteran of the Cyprus troubles and the Christmas Island tests, died after contracting a form of throat cancer.
On Sunday the 20th October, David “Bobby” Hooper, ex Flt.Sgt. Photographer passed away after a short battle with cancer.
Although not a member of RAFPA he will have been known to many, having served on Christmas Island, Cyprus, Medmenham, Germany and many more stations.
He will be sadly missed by his family and all those he was able to support in his second career as a Mental & Paediatric Nurse. He also gave many years with the St John Ambulance Service and gave much of his spare time to promoting the work of the Friends of War Memorials.
The funeral was held at Lincoln Crematorium on the 7th November.
